Meet the Candidates - a Politicians as People  presentation on April 30

Picture

The Primary election is coming soon and candidates are working to find ways to reach out. Before we closed down for CoVid-19, we had a chance to hear Dacia Grayber for State Representative - HD 35 , talk about her work with the Compassionate Care Center at our local Tigard shelter. Her story of the impact of providing something as basic as foot care and how it transforms lives is powerful. Now for some more stories...

Because time is short, we have added an extra meeting to get a chance to hear from some other candidates before we vote. On April 30, at 7 pm we will hear from two candidates for judge in Washington County Circuit Court, 20th District, Position 5 - Steven Burke and Edward Kroll. Both of these candidates introduced themselves to us earlier and now is a chance to hear more from them to guide our votes. Gerritt Rosenthal, candidate for Metro Council from our area, will also be joining us and sharing his story as will Ben Marcotte, our candidate for the Washington County Commission.

Each of these candidates have been asked to tell us a story about themselves that will let us learn a little more about what shapes their personal and political philosophy.

Join us on Zoom.  Instructions on using Zoom are available on the Zoom page above.
