August 2022, Standing up to the Supreme Court- hear those on the front lines

We heard from those on the front lines The U.S. Supreme Court has overturned decades of precedent, ignored the science of an impending climate crisis, and threatened the rights of a majority of our nation's citizens.  While people at the national level are trying to find ways to counter the toxic impact of this court, individuals and organizations in Oregon are not waiting to see what happens.  We are making sure that we use all of our power to continue to create a state that is safe, affirming of all of our rights, and leading in climate action.

At our August meeting heard from organizations that are crafting programs and legislation that will continue the fight for gun safety, protect woman's right to choose, and lead in impactful climate action.  Oregon has always been a leader - now we need to lead in showing what can be done. Thank you to our speakers:  Megan Busbee - Moms Demand Action, Debby Garman - 350.org Washington County,, OLCV and Tualatin Valley Beekeepers, Evelyn Estrada - ProChoice Oregon, political director
